King County Young Democrats work to educate and empower young voters in King County.
We seek to create a space where people of all levels of experience within politics — from complete newcomers to elected officials — can connect and learn from each other.
“After graduating from college I struggled for nearly a year to simply find an affordable place to live. The job I was working at the time, although it paid okay, it did not pay enough for me to be able to afford a modest one-bedroom apartment. Like many young people, I lived with my parents for a while before giving up on my dreams to live on my own and deciding to find a roommate. I come from a low income family, so continuing to live with my parents was not an option for me especially since we are a big family and the house was already extremely crowded.”
Although we typically hold monthly meetups in-person, we’ve switched to holding our monthly meetings online because of the pandemic. Please pay attention to if you need to register for the Zoom link!
Our meetings consist of anything from panels of experts and elected officials to group discussions where we talk about serious topics affecting our lives.
They are held on the last Sunday of every month, at 4pm. Sign up for our emails to be automatically notified of every event!
